LoveGave will be camping outside of three Walmart stores for 58 hours straight starting at 9 a.m. Thursday to raise money for abused, neglected and abandoned children.
This is the fourth annual fundraising effort led by River Church that has involved other churches throughout the Lowcountry.
They hope to raise $150,000, and four orphan relief charities — Carolina Youth Development Center, Eagle Harbor Ranch, Winwood Farms and Lowcountry Orphan Relief — each will receive $10,000. The remaining funds will go to 10 Lowcountry families in the final stages of adopting an orphaned child.
LoveGave will be at Walmart stores in West Ashley, Goose Creek and North Charleston until Saturday at 7 p.m. For more information, go to lovegave.com.
