Authorities are searching for a James Island woman who disappeared Friday.
Moira Carr, 38, of Priestly Street was last seen in West Ashley sitting in her silver 2001 Nissan Sentra, Charleston police said. The vehicle was parked in the Barnes and Noble parking lot on Sam Rittenberg Boulevard. Carr may have been talking on her phone, police said.
Carr left her job at Mad Science, 1023 Wappoo Road, to cash a check shortly before she disappeared, police said. She hasn’t been using a work-issued cell phone since her disappearance.
Carr has no known medical issues and isn’t known to need medication, police said. She has no close relatives and was reported missing by co-workers, police Cpl. Fred Bowie said.
Police described Carr as 5 feet 3 inches tall, with brown eyes and weighing about 110 pounds. She recently dyed her hair red and was last seen wearing large sunglasses with white frames, police said.
Anyone who sees Carr can call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
