Clemson University on Monday released the names of the finalists for the school president’s job.
The university selected James Clements as its new president Nov. 12. Clements, now president of West Virginia University, will take the reins from current president Jim Barker in January.
The two other finalists were: Dr. Spence Taylor, vice president of academics and executive director of the University Medical Group at the Greenville Health System; and Brett Dalton, Clemson’s vice president for finance and operations.
Clemson’s Board of Trustees did not release the list of names in the final pool of candidates, which is required under state law.
The Post and Courier filed a Freedom of Information Act request for the list.
