Kontane Logistics, a third-party company for import distribution and warehousing, has purchased a facility in Charleston.
The logistics division of North Carolina-based Kontane Inc., a packaging design and builder, has purchased International Center I. The 200,000-square-foot building sits at 1000 Charleston Regional Parkway, north of Daniel Island.
Company officials said the new location is well-positioned between S.C. State Ports Authority terminals in North Charleston and Wando Welch Terminal in Mount Pleasant.
“The building and location perfectly suit our needs, enabling us to provide our customers speed to market and operational efficiency,” said Kontane Logistics COO Rusty Byrd. “Charleston has been a great fit for our company and this purchase gives us a long-term asset and competitive advantage in the market.”
