Orangeburg County deputies are looking for a North Charleston man after an assault that left a man in critical condition earlier this month.
Jose Antonio Rodriquez Jr., 21, of Rivers Avenue is wanted on a charge of first-degree assault and battery. Rodriguez also has an Orangeburg address, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Rodriguez and two other men are accused of beating a 25-year-old Cordova man for several hours Nov. 10 after an argument over food. Investigators say the men beat Joshua Shepherd for three hours, causing serious injuries to his head and body. One of the men beat with him with a potato in a sock while the other two kicked and hit him, according to affidavits.
Jeremy Raymond Arnold, 33, of McColum Road in Cope has been arrested and charged with attempted murder. Bryan Lee Rider, 24, of Southwest Circle in Cordova has been arrested and charged with first-degree assault and battery.
Anyone with information about Rodriguez is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 803-534-3550 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
