Wreck stalling southbound traffic on Highway 17 in Mount Pleasant, officials say

A wreck involving a firetruck has southbound traffic stalled on U.S. Highway 17 in Mount Pleasant, officials with Charleston County’s Consolidated Dispatch Center report.

According to dispatchers, the wreck occurred shortly before 11 a.m. near Houston Northcutt Boulevard. Initial reports stated that no one was injured in the incident, dispatchers said.

One southbound lane is currently open to traffic while authorities work the wreck.
