South Carolina is finished with SEC games this season, but its season is far from over.
The Gamecocks will wait and watch as Missouri closes out its season with two tough games – on the road at Ole Miss and at home against Texas A&M. USC just needs Mizzou to lose one of those games to reach the SEC Championship Game next month in Atlanta.
Meanwhile, the Gamecocks have a pretty important game to play in a couple weeks. South Carolina will host Clemson for a 7 p.m. kickoff Nov. 16 on ESPN2. USC's attempt to win a fifth straight game in the Palmetto state rivalry will surely hold Gamecocks fans' attention while they hope for a Missouri loss.
This week is the calm before the storm. The Gamecocks will host Coastal Carolina for a 1 p.m. kickoff Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium. Still, from the SEC East race to the upcoming game against Clemson, there's plenty to talk about. Join Gamecocks beat writer Ryan Wood for a live chat 3:30 p.m. Monday.
