CLEMSON – The most popular point of discussion on Twitter during Clemson's Thursday night win over Georgia Tech had nothing to do with football.

It was the marching band's tribute to Super Mario Brothers, the beloved video game taking us all back to our youth when Mario rode Yoshi to glory and gold coins, rescuing the princess from Bowser and launching fireballs at angry turtle shells.

The fans have spoken: they want a blog post dedicated to comparing Clemson football players to Super Mario Bros. characters. And the fans get what the fans want.

Sometime this week. Promise.

Until then, you'll have to settle for our customary Monday live chat, starting at 3 p.m. Perhaps you'd like to chime in with your own favorite Super Mario Bros. stories to liven it up.
