Charleston police ask for help finding missing man

Toni Whiteside was last seen leaving work in West Ashley on Friday.

Charleston police are asking for help finding a West Ashley man who has been missing for several days.

Howard “Toni” Antonio Whiteside, 48, was last seen leaving work in West Ashley on Friday, according to Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis. It’s unusual for his family not to hear from him for several days, and they reported him missing Sunday, he said.

Whiteside was last seen wearing a uniform-style gray shirt and pants. He is 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He may be driving a black 1999 Honda CRV with South Carolina license plate CWF608.

Anyone with information is asked to call Charleston police at 843 577-7434.
