Cosmetics tycoon Lauder at Gibbes
The Gibbes Museum of Art’s Distinguished Lecture Series presents Leonard A. Lauder at 6 p.m. Nov. 20 at Memminger Auditorium, 56 Beaufain St.
Lauder, chairman emeritus of The Estee Lauder Companies Inc., has been an avid art collector. Earlier this year, he donated 78 Cubist paintings worth about $1.5 billion to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Tickets to the lecture at $35 for museum members, $45 for nonmembers.

C of C a cappella group to perform at Sottile
The College of Charleston’s student-run a capella group, The Chucktown Trippintones, will offer its seventh annual fall concert at 5 p.m. today at the Sottile Theater.
The concert is free and open to the public.
The Trippintones were founded in the fall of 2006 and consist of men and women. They mostly perform a cappella arrangements of popular songs. This is their first time at the Sottile Theatre.
Savannah Music Fest lineup announced
The Savannah Music Festival has announced its 2014 lineup.
The 25th anniversary of the esteemed festival features classical, jazz, blues, folk and world music, including performances by Mike Marshall and Chris Thile, Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn, The Lone Bellow, the Robert Cray Band, the Christian McBride Trio and Cecile McLorin Salvant, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Tomatito and Estrella Morente, Daniel Hope and many more.
The Savannah Music Festival runs March 20-April 5, presenting more than 100 performances in intimate venues throughout Savannah’s historic district.
