A motorist hit a Charleston police officer who was on foot in West Ashley Monday night.
The officer was hit about 8:24 p.m. at Castlewood and Savage roads, police spokesman Charles Francis said. The officer received minor injuries and was taken to Medical University Hospital.
The Highway Patrol is investigating. No other information was immediately available.
