Dean Stephens’ run of perfection is over in the Pick Six contest.
Stephens, the ABC News 4 anchor, had a two-week run in which he went 12-0 against The Post and Courier’s Phil Bowman in their weekly high school football picks.
Last week, Stephens and Bowman went 4-2. Both incorrectly picked Stratford and Fort Dorchester to win.
This is the final week of the regular season for Class AAAA teams and the beginning of the playoffs for all other classifications.
Here are this week’s picks:
Goose Creek at Stratford
Bowman: Gators’ 36-game winning streak comes to an end. Stratford, 35-31.
Stephens: My heart tells me one thing. My head tells me another. Goose Creek, 38-28.
Fort Dorchester at Ashley Ridge
Bowman: Patriots finish with a victory. Fort Dorchester, 24-21.
Stephens: Fort ready for the playoffs. Patriots, 28-10.
Summerville at Bluffton
Bowman: Green Wave setting up well for playoffs. Summerville, 28-10.
Stephens: I like Summerville’s momentum. Wave, 21-14.
Wando at Sumter
Bowman: Noonan returns home and gets a win. Wando, 17-14.
Stephens: Warriors with a late push, Wando, 20-10.
Southside at Hanahan
Bowman: No contest. Hanahan, 35-7.
Stephens: Who? Hawks, 41-10.
Berkeley at Myrtle Beach
Bowman: Berkeley pulls off the upset. Stags, 21-14.
Stephens: Berkeley gets ready for basketball. Myrtle Beach, 28-7.
