Charleston police on Tuesday arrested the last of five women accused in the slashing of another woman’s face with a knife in a reported assault.

Courtney Washington, 26, of Desoto Drive in North Charleston, is charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, Charleston County jail records show.

The arrest was made in connection with a reported assault on Oct. 30 at Orleans Gardens Apartments on Hazelwood Drive, an incident report states.

According to police, a 24-year-old woman who lives at the complex sought treatment at Roper Hospital after she was jumped by five women in a parking lot.

The woman told police that her attackers followed her to her apartment building, then punched, kicked and pulled her hair. Police did not say what the women were fighting about.

The woman fought the group off of her, and later noticed that she had received multiple cuts to her face, head and chest, the report states. She reported that her wounds appeared to have come from a knife.

The woman watched as one of her alleged attackers slashed all four tires on her parked vehicle, according to the report. A neighbor drove her to the hospital for treatment.

That day, Charleston police arrested four women: Yasmin Wilson, 22, of Ranger Drive in North Charleston; Shayla Wilson, 22, of Storage Road in Hollywood; Ashley Wilson, 25, of Canterbury Drive in Hanahan; and Symone Wilson, 21, of North Romney Street in Charleston.

All four were held at the Charleston County jail on the same charge as Washington. Yasmin Wilson received an additional charge of malicious injury to real property, jail records show.
