For the ninth time in a row, Wando High School took first place in the S.C. State Marching Band 5A Competition.
The competition was Saturday at Irmo High School in Columbia.
Wando’s victory was posted on the band’s Facebook page, and the school’s Wikipedia entry has been updated to include the most recent band victory.
Summerville High School finished third, according to multiple sources.
Official results were not available Sunday.
Fort Dorchester and Ashley Ridge also competed, according to the posted schedule.
