South Carolina vs. Mississippi State becomes Gamecocks’ sixth sellout this season
COLUMBIA — The South Carolina vs. Mississippi State football game Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium is a sellout, the Gamecock Athletics Ticket Office announced Thursday afternoon.
This will mark the fourth sellout in as many home games this season for the Gamecocks. In addition, the Florida game (Nov. 16) and the Clemson game (Nov. 30) have already been sold out, giving Carolina six sellouts in one season, the most since 1981.
Playing in the 80,250-seat Williams-Brice Stadium, the Gamecocks rank 14th in the country in average attendance at 81,752. In addition, USC ranks second in the SEC and 11th in the nation in capacity of the stadium filled at 101.87 percent.
The No. 14 Gamecocks (6-2, 4-2 SEC) are riding a 14-game home winning streak, one shy of the school record set from 1978-80.
Saturday’s game is set for 12:20 p.m. and will be televised by SEC TV (WMMP).
Tickets remain on sale for the first-ever matchup between South Carolina and Coastal Carolina, set for 1 p.m. on Nov. 23.
