Bishop England (7-2, 6-0) at Ridgeland-Hardeeville (6-3, 5-1)
LAST YEAR: Bishop England won, 41-8.
COACHES: John Cantey, Bishop England; Blake Raley, Ridgeland-Hardeeville.
NOTABLE: Bishop England picked up a huge Region 6-AA victory over Woodland last week, but still needs a win against R-H to claim the crown outright. If Ridgeland-Hardeville wins, Woodland is the No. 1 seed on a tie-breaker and R-H would be second and BE third based on head-to-head competition. The Bishops own a 20-game league winning streak dating back to 2010.
KEEP AN EYE ON: Bishop England running back Nick Shiver. He averages 13.0 yards per carry and has rushed for 1,153 yards and 16 TDs.
DID YOU KNOW: John Cantey owns a 51-20 record since being named head coach in 2008.
Timberland (7-2, 4-0) at Lee Central (5-4, 3-10)
LAST YEAR: Timberland won, 44-8.
COACHES: Timberland: Art Craig; Barron Turner, Lee Central.
NOTABLE: Timberland can wrap up the Region 7-AA championship outright with a victory Friday night. The Wolves have won four straight games and were impressive in last week’s 42-7 victory over Andrews as they jumped to a 21-0 lead and finished with five touchdowns rushing. The Wolves will attack a defense that is averaging 24.4 points a game.
KEEP AN EYE ON: Timberland running back Bernard Harmon. He’s rushed for nearly 1,000 yards.
DID YOU KNOW: Timberland is 44-6 since 2010.
Fort Dorchester (6-3, 2-1) at Beaufort (6-3, 1-2)
LAST YEAR: Fort Dorchester won, 49-35.
COACHES: Steve LaPrad, Fort Dorchester; Mark Clifford, Beaufort.
NOTABLE: Fort Dorchester exploded for 62 points in a victory over Bluffton last week to give the Patriots four wins in their last five games. The Patriots have scored 118 points in their last two outings.
KEEP AN EYE ON: Beaufort linebacker T.J. Watts. He leads the team with 108 tackles, including 10 for a loss.
DID YOU KNOW: Steve LaPrad is averaging seven victories a year since being named head coach in 2003.
