Police: Man wearing garden gloves robs North Charleston liquor store

A man wearing garden gloves is accused of robbing a North Charleston liquor store clerk at gunpoint on Wednesday.

Leonard Riley, 31, of Charleston, was charged with armed robbery by North Charleston police.

Riley, wearing a green bandana over his face, a hooded shirt, and blue garden-style gloves, robbed the clerk at 9:10 a.m. at the Rivers Avenue RnR, an ABC package store, according to police.

He took an unknown amount of money and fled, an incident report said. Riley was tracked down and arrested on Ashley River Road in Charleston, police said.
