Project Warm Hands and Blankies 4 My Buddies will host a gently-used winter clothing drop-off event on Saturday to benefit Lowcountry Orphan Relief and My Sister’s House.

Coats, jackets, sweatshirts, gloves, hats, scarves, boots, socks and children’s blankets can be dropped off at Angie’s Hair Studio, 3025 Ashley Phosphate Rd, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Project Warm Hands was founded by a Charleston stylist Angie Ravenel who was concerned about children not having the right clothing for cold weather.

Blankies 4 My Buddies was created by 6-year-old “C.J.” Matthews, a student at Laurel Hill Primary School in Mt. Pleasant.

Donations also can be made online at www.gofundme.com/blankies4mybuddies.
