Charleston Southern running backs Christian Reyes and Mike Holloway have earned Big South Conference honors for their performances in the Bucs’ 36-14 victory over Charlotte on Saturday.
Reyes was named the offensive player of the week after rushing for 181 yards on 26 carries. Holloway was named freshman of the week after running for 81 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. The 8-1 Bucs piled up 375 yards on the ground against Charlotte.
Coastal Carolina’s Devin Brown of Charleston was named the Big South special teams player of the week.
In Coastal’s 66-27 victory over VMI, Brown returned four kickoffs for 140 yards, including a 95-yard return for a touchdown. Brown was a standout player at James Island High School.
