Brothers die in Huger wreck on Sunday, family of four also hospitalized
Two Moncks Corner brothers died after one of them ran a stop sign on Sunday, according to investigators with the S.C. Highway Patrol.
A family of four from Mount Pleasant were headed south on S.C. 41 in Huger at around 6:30 p.m. when another car traveling east on North Hampton Street disregarded a stop sign and continued through it, according to S.C. Highway Patrol officials.
The vehicle on S.C. 41 then struck the car that went through the stop sign on the driver’s side door, killing both people inside, officials said.
Christopher Bracewell, 23, and Jonathan Bracewell, 20, died on the scene, according to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury. Both were wearing their seat belts.
The family of four which included two children, were all transported to Medical University hospital. All of them were also wearing their seat belts, officials said.
The wreck is under investigation by the S.C. Highway Patrol.
