Cane Bay's Tyler Farr is tackled by West's defense as West Florence hosted Cane Bay on Thursday, October 24, 2013.

— West Florence held Cane Bay to 47 yards of offense in the first half and rolled past the Cobras, 27-3, on Thursday night at Memorial stadium.

It was fourth straight game West Florence held its opponent to 20 points or less.

Trailing 10-0 in the second quarter, Cane Bay’s Romante Fraiser returned a kickoff 83 yards down to the West Florence 15. But the Knights held strong, and Cane Bay had to settle for a Juan Merallious 27-yard field goal to cut the lead to 10-3.

Then with West Florence ahead 13-3 early in the third quarter, Fraiser broke loose on a 43-yard run down to the Knights’ 3-yard line. But West Florence stopped the Cobras on four straight plays, including stuffing quarterback Devin Kilgore on fourth-and-goal.

Fraiser led Cane Bay (0-9) with 86 yards rushing. Kilgore threw 61 yards but left the game in the fourth quarter with an injury.
