High school athletes on Saturday will take to the streets to clean up North Charleston’s neighborhoods.
The “Tackling the Neighborhoods” community service project will involve teens from Fort Dorchester, Stall, Academic and North Charleston high schools, North Charleston police spokesman Spencer Pryor said. School resource officers will also attend.
About 250 students have volunteered to participate in the project, Pryor said. The group will target neighborhoods including Cameron Terrance, the Gables and Pepperhill.
The clean up will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will last about an hour.
