North Charleston schools locked down after nearby stabbing

North Charleston schools were locked down for about 20 minutes on Friday during an incident nearby, according to North Charleston police.

Shortly after 1 p.m., officers responded to 5074 Lackawanna St. in reference to a subject being assaulted with a knife, and found a victim who was stabbed with a kitchen knife after an argument.

The victim was transported to the hospital.

Keeshia Brown, 22, was charged with Criminal Domestic Violence High and Aggravated Nature, according to police.

Not involved in the incident but put on lockdown as a precaution were Academic Magnet High School, Charleston County School of the Arts, North Charleston Creative Arts Elementary and Liberty Hill Academy.
