The 24-year-old murder suspect accused of gunning down a man in Dogwood Park last month has been taken into custody, Goose Creek police said.
Stephon Johnson was wanted on a murder charge in connection with the Sept. 18 shooting death of 40-year-old William Marshall Kuhn, of North Charleston. Kuhn had been shot once in the head.
U.S. Marshals on Wednesday arrested Johnson in Lancaster, Calif., police Capt. John Grainger said. He was taken into custody without incident.
Johnson is currently being held in Los Angeles pending extradition, Grainger said.
Grainger did not provide any further details about Johnson’s arrest.
