Body pulled from water near Pitt Street Bridge in Mount Pleasant

A body was recovered from the water near the Pitt Street Bridge Wednesday afternoon.

The only description immediately available is that it was a white man, according to Maj. Stan Gragg.

A fisherman reported a body floating in the Intracoastal Waterway about 1:44 p.m., Gragg said. The Charleston County Sheriff’s Department Marine Unit recovered the body.
