American Trucking Associations has named the owner of a North Charleston trucking company as the chair of the national trade group.
Phil Byrd, chief executive officer of Bulldog Hiway Express, has been named the 69th chairman of American Trucking Association, officials announced today.
Byrd replaces Mike Card, president of Combined Transport, Central Point, Ore.
I believe our industry and our association is on the precipice of momentous change,” Byrd said in a written statement. “And I hope that as chairman I can help not just ATA but our entire industry position themselves for these changes.”
The American Trucking Association is noted as the largest national trade association for the trucking industry.
