Some changes in Charleston County School District’s calendar has created confusion among some, so parents take note: schools will be open on Friday.
The district initially had scheduled Friday as a professional development day, and students were supposed to be off, said Jason Sakran, spokesman for Charleston County schools. That changed several weeks before the school year started, and Friday was switched to a regular school day, he said.
Students and teachers should report to school for their reguarly scheduled classes on Friday.
