The SCISA state volleyball championships begin Monday and conclude Tuesday.
In Class A, Cathedral Academy plays Myrtle Beach’s Christian Academy at 6 p.m. Monday at Wilson Hall in Sumter.
Cathedral is seeking its second straight state title after defeating Christian Academy last fall. Last fall marked Cathedral’s first appearance in the title match since 2005.
On Tuesday, the Class AA and AAA champions will be crowned.
Spartanburg Day and Spartanburg Christian will play in the Class AA championship at 6 p.m. at Wofford College.
The Class AAA championship features Ashley Hall vs. Porter-Gaud at 7 p.m. at the College of Charleston’s TD Arena. Action starts at 7 p.m.
Porter-Gaud has defeated the Panthers three straight years to win the big schools title.
Ashley Hall is playing in its 15th straight state championship and is seeking its 12th state crown. Either Ashley Hall or Porter-Gaud has claimed the big schools crown since 2003, when Pinewood Prep claimed the championship with a win over Ashley Hall.
