The College of Charleston has hired a national firm and named members of a committee to search for a new president, according to a Friday news release from the school.
The 13-member search committee includes members of the school’s Board of Trustees, alumni, the student government president, the elected leader of the faculty, and a staff representative. AGB Search will work with the committee. The college will pay the firm $70,000 plus expenses. The money will come from the College of Charleston Foundation.
Board Chairman Greg Padgett said he expects the position to be advertised in early November, and finalists will be invited to the campus in February.
