Firefighters Wednesday morning battled flames at a North Charleston home.
The fire was reported about 3:45 a.m. at 1901 Robertson Blvd., according to the Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch Center.
The home is near the Yeaman Hall Plaza shopping center off Remount Road.
First responders saw smoke and flames at a corner of the single-story home, North Charleston Fire Department spokeswoman Bianca Bourbeau said.
Crews fought the flames as they spread to the home’s attic, Bourbeau said.
The residence appeared to be vacant, she said, but authorities determined that one person was displaced by the incident. The resident is being assisted by family and friends, she said.
No one was hurt in the fire, the cause of which remains under investigation.
