Awendaw Fire Expo set for Saturday in McClellanville

The Awendaw District Fire Expo is set for Saturday in McClellanville.

The expo is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Palmetto Store at 10086 U.S. 17 North. In case of rain, it will be held Nov. 9 at the same time and place.

Smokey Bear will be there, as well as fire trucks and games and activities for children. Chick-fil-A will provide free tea and lemonade.

Agencies that will be represented include the Awendaw District Fire Department, Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, Fire and Rescue Squad and EMS, Lowcountry Firefighter Support Team, St. James-Santee Family Health Center, S.C. Department of Natural Resources, S.C. State Forestry Commission, U.S. Forest Service and the MEDUCARE helicopter.
