Police arrested a man Saturday night about 45 minutes after they say he shot another man multiple times in a Walterboro motel room.
Walterboro police responded to the Sunset Inn on Bells Highway near the I-95 interchange about 8:30 p.m. and found 30-year-old Maurice Kemp with gunshot wounds to his left chest and left cheek, Major Ken Dasen said.
Kemp told police he was shot by Rodney Faulkenberry during a fight inside Kemp’s room, Dasen said. Kemp was taken by ambulance to the Medical University Hospital.
Dasen said they arrested Faulkenberry, 55, of Walterboro about 9:15 p.m.
