A North Charleston woman was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and unlawful conduct after she wrecked her vehicle and officers later reported finding three unattended toddlers and drug paraphernalia at her home.
Ashley Agan Frazier, 26, of Cherrywood Drive in North Charleston, was charged by the North Charleston Police Department after an officer on patrol saw her vehicle in a ditch and then spotted Frazier trying to get into a vehicle in a drive-thru at a nearby pharmacy, according to an incident report.
Frazier smelled of alcohol, according to the report.
She told the officer she left three children under 3 years old at home alone with the front door unlocked. She said her husband, Bradley Strange, 31, was at work, according to the report.
Officers went to her home where they found a 3-year-old and two 1-year-olds in addition to drug manufacturing equipment, narcotics and other drug paraphernalia.
Officers went to Strange’s place of employment and he followed them to the home, where he was charged with three counts of child endangerment.
The children were taken into protective custody by the Department of Social Services.
