Wild Wing Cafe will host a Pigskin Pig Pickin’ Bash on Sunday at its North Charleston restaurant to benefit four Charleston County schools.

Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring new or gently used books to donate to schools. Donations will be rewarded with raffle tickets. Roasted pork plates will be available for $10 each; ribs cost $1 each.

The event will feature musical performances from area high school marching bands and an all-day DJ. Activities will include backyard games, and students will have the chance to dunk their teachers in a tank.

Fifty percent of each dollar raised will be donated to the school district’s Renaissance Schools project, an effort to improve four low-achieving schools: Burns Elementary, North Charleston Elementary, Memminger Elementary and Sanders-Clyde Creative Arts.
