COLUMBIA, S.C. — Hungry for deep-fried delights? It’s that time of year again.
The 2013 South Carolina State Fair opens on Wednesday for a 12-day run in Columbia. This is the fair’s 144th year.
Admission for seniors 55 and older is $7. Children ages 5 and younger, along with active and retired military personnel and their dependents with proper identification, will be admitted free.
This year’s State Fair features three free concerts by Corey Smith, The Temptations and Kirk Franklin.
Other ticketed acts include The Band Perry, Foreigner, Hunter Hayes, Needtobreathe and Justin Moore.
