What a weekend in South Carolina football. To recap …
Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney did not play Saturday against Kentucky. Coach Steve Spurrier was clearly upset after the game. On Sunday, Spurrier said he was fine with a player in pain not playing, he just wanted to know about it sooner than “right before kickoff.” Clowney has yet to share his side, but may be available later in the week.
Oh yeah, lest we forget: the Gamecocks won 35-28, their third straight victory.
It's been a tumultuous season in Columbia. And South Carolina is 4-1, ranked No. 14 in the country by the Associated Press, still in the thick of the SEC East race.
There's lots to discuss as USC shifts focus to its upcoming trip to Arkansas, where it has only won twice since 1992. Join South Carolina beat writer Ryan Wood for a live chat 3:30 p.m. Monday to talk about the Clowney situation and any other aspect of Gamecocks football.
