A wreck involving a tanker truck has been cleared after causing delays on I-526 eastbound near mile marker 16.
As of 8:55 a.m. traffic was moving again, albeit slowly.
The rain and wrecks caused delays all over Lowcountry roadways.
The S.C. Highway Patrol responded to a wreck with injuries on U.S. 78 and College Park Road.
And earlier eastbound traffic on Interstate 26 was backed up nearly 10 miles after wrecks at the Ashley Phosphate and then the College Park exits.
The first wreck was reported at 6:48 a.m. near the Ashley Phosphate Road exit, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.
At least one lane was reportedly blocked.
A second wreck was reported at 7 a.m. near the College Park Exit at mile marker 203.
