GREER, S.C. -- A man riding a motorcycle has died after a chase with state troopers in Greer.
WHNS-TV reports that the South Carolina Highway Patrol tried to stop a motorcycle rider who ran a stop sign Thursday night in Spartanburg County.
Deputies say the biker took off and crossed into Greenville County.
Greenville County Coroner Parks Evans says 33-year-old James Logan of Lyman hit a speed bump, lost control and was thrown from his bike.
Evans says Logan was wearing a helmet but died at the scene.
