Facebook, texts used to crack Fountain Inn homicide case
FOUNTAIN INN, S.C. - Authorities say they used a combination of surveillance cameras, text messages and Facebook postings to find the man who shot a 25-year-old man to death in Fountain Inn earlier this week.
Fountain Inn Police Chief Keith Morton said the cameras captured the fight that led to the shooting of Barry Norman Tuesday night.
Morton says investigators used Norman’s Facebook postings and text messages to figure out he was having a dispute with several other men.
Police arrested of 25-year-old Jacoby Gregory on Friday and charged him with murder. He remains in the Greenville County jail. It wasn’t known if he had a lawyer.
Norman says more arrests are possible in the case.
