Charleston firefighters overnight extinguished a minor fire that damaged a duplex on the peninsula early Thursday morning.
The fire was reported shortly after midnight at 105 Line Street, Assistant Fire Chief Raymond Lloyd said.
Damage was sustained to an upstairs portion of the duplex, including the home’s siding and a rear porch, LLoyd said. Some minor damage extended into one of the home’s back rooms, he said.
All of the residents made it out of the home and no injuries were reported, Lloyd said.
SCE&G officials cut power to the upstairs unit pending repairs.
