Four boaters in Bohicket Creek were rescued Wednesday night when their boat started taking on water and capsized, according to the Coast Guard.
The Charleston Coast Guard base got a call for help about 7:15 p.m. and sent a helicopter and a small boat. Charleston County also sent a rescue boat.
A 22-foot recreational boat was taking on water and eventually capsized, putting four people in the water. All four swam safely to rescue boats and were taken to nearby Cherry Point landing.
The Coast Guard remained on scene to make sure there was no pollution.
