Charleston police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery that happened in a parking lot on Woodmere Drive.
Police were called to 1706 Woodmere Dr. shortly after 5 p.m. on Tuesday concerning an armed robbery that had just taken place, an incident report states.
A 23-year-old man told police that he parked his vehicle and was quickly approached by a man with a pistol yelling for him to hand over his money.
The robbed man did not have any money, but he gave the gunman his cell phone, police said. The robber then ran from the scene.
A suspect has not been identified in the case.
