SUMMERVILLE — A free Wi-Fi kick-off ceremony will be held Tuesday at Town Hall.
Wireless internet access has been made available in a 200-foot range around one of seven access points at the Town Hall complex at 200 S. Main St. and adjacent Hutchinson Square. It allows personal computers, video game consoles, smart phones or digital audio players to connect online.
The service is a joint project between the town and Google, the internet service provider. A $32,254 community grant from Google is paying for the project for three years.
The ceremony takes place at 2:30 p.m. in the Town Hall courtyard off Richardson Avenue.
