South Carolina vs. Kentucky kickoff set; Clemson-Syracuse game time on hold

Kickoff for the South Carolina-Kentucky football game Oct. 5 in Columbia has been set for 7:30 p.m., the SEC announced Monday.

The game will be televised on Fox Sports Network.

The 12th-ranked Gamecocks (2-1) play at Central Florida (3-0) on Saturday. Kentucky (1-2) plays Florida on Saturday. USC, which leads the series with Kentucky 16-7-1, has won 12 of the past 13.

The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Monday that ESPN has used one of its six-day options for this year and is holding three games, including Clemson at Syracuse, scheduled for Oct. 5. The game times and networks for those games will be announced no later than Sunday.

In addition to Clemson’s game, ESPN is holding the kickoffs for Maryland at Florida State and ​Georgia Tech at Miami.
