Charleston County parents of children who will be in kindergarten through second grade in the fall of 2014 are invited to two public meetings about a new elementary charter school.
Carolina Voyager Charter School will be a blended learning elementary and middle school that combines traditional classroom teaching with individualized instruction, online technology and social and emotional lessons.
It plans to open downtown, and it will serve students from across Charleston County. The school will add one grade each year until it serves grades K-8, and it will not have an admissions test.
The one-hour meetings will be Sept. 30 at 6 p.m. and Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. at the John L. Dart Library, 1067 King St.
Enrollment applications for the 2014-15 school year will be available at the meetings. For more information, go to www.CarolinaVoyagerCharterSchool.org.
