Six North Charleston men were arrested Saturday in an undercover drug-buying operation in the Forest Hills community.
Teddy Maurice Gadsden, 21, of Foxwood Drive; Antonio Townsend, 25, of Mendelwood Drive; and Thomas Bonneau, 25, of Mendlewood Drive, were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and unlawful carrying of a handgun, according to an incident report from North Charleston police.
Terrence Roosevelt Richardson, 25, of Hillock Avenue, and Shakare Jameek Kershaw, 22, of Quest Drive, were charged with simple possession of marijuana.
Clarence Lee Cohen Jr., 24, of Peppercorn Lane, was taken into custody because he had a warrant in Mount Pleasant. He was wanted on a check-forgery charge, according to Charleston County court records.
The men were arrested about 7:30 p.m. on Quest Drive. Police seized more than four pounds (124 grams) of marijuana and a Smith and Wesson .38 special, according to the report.
