Reports: Couple with Lowcountry ties accused of having sex with dogs, posting videos of encounters on Internet
The Fayetteville Observer reported Monday that Ruben Chance James Fox and Amber Nicole Fox were arrested by police in Raeford, N.C., a town just south of the sprawling U.S. Army base in North Carolina. Both are 23, according to an Associated Press report.
The Foxes are charged with multiple counts of crimes against nature involving bestiality, disseminating obscene materials and conspiracy. Amber Fox also is charged with soliciting a crime against nature, the AP reported.
The Berkeley Independent newspaper reported Wednesday that Ruben Fox was born in Moncks Corner, and grew up in Alabama. Amber Fox is a Conway native, the newspaper reported.
The Berkeley Independent article stated that the couple met while both were enrolled at Trident Technical College, and that they had graduated from the school in 2011.
A school spokesman confirmed that Ruben Fox attended Trident from 2008 to 2011 but he did not graduate. The school could not immediately find records on Amanda Fox.
Raeford officers seized two mixed-breed dogs and three cats from the couple’s home and placed them in the care of a local shelter.
A Fort Bragg spokesman confirmed Spc. Ruben Fox is assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division, according to the AP.
