Body found in Goose Creek park considered homicide
A man’s body was found in a Goose Creek park Wednesday, and it’s being treated as a homicide, Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury said.
Several children found the body about 5 p.m. in Dogwood Park, which is off Liberty Hall Road, Salisbury said. The man had no identification on him. Salisbury could only describe him as a white male, probably younger than 50. He said he could not comment on any visible wounds or apparent cause of death until after an autopsy Thursday.
The coroner’s office and Goose Creek police are investigating.
