SUMMERVILLE — Muskets pound again Saturday at Colonial Dorchester State Historic Site.
The site holds Under the Crescent, a Revolutionary War program featuring the 2nd South Carolina Regiment re-enator group. The event also will include archaeologists at work on digs, guided tours of the old tabby fort and church bell tower and other site artifacts.
Colonial Dorchester is the site of the 1697 town of Dorchester and its fort along the Ashley River.
The event takes place 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at 300 State Park Road, Summerville. Admission is $2 per person 15 years and older, $1.25 for seniors. For more information, www.SouthCarolinaParks.com, Achapman@scprt.com or (843) 873-1740.
