A 52-year-old man told Hanahan police that he accidentally shot himself in the hand while cleaning his Glock on Thursday.
The man’s right hand was wrapped in a bloody towel when police arrived at his home on Dogwood Court shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, an incident report states. He told police that he was in his gun room cleaning a 10 mm Glock when the pistol accidentally fired a round into his hand.
The man was transported to Medical University Hospital for treatment of the wound, police said.
